The Outreach Network
Members of The Outreach Network (TON) are front line harm reduction workers from across the province. They share challenges, solutions, and practices with each other, while OHRN collects and shares resources with TON members to be used and adapted.
The purpose of TON is simple: to facilitate connections between members. The work is hard enough as it is. No one needs to do it alone, and no one needs to re-invent the wheel.
TON members are front line workers employed as part of Harm Reduction Outreach Programs or Hepatitis C Teams at designated agencies, typically AIDS Service Organizations or Community Health Centres. All TON members' positions are funded through the AIDS and Hepatitis C Programs of the Ontario Ministry of Health. TON also includes Managers who supervise harm reduction outreach teams that participate in TON.
