Going through school, you’re taught to measure success in a certain way, and that’s not transferable to the work that we’re doing here.
I mean, a great success would be, no one died today, but then a success with that is supporting the people who have lost people. So that’s a daily success, being there for our community, and understanding the impacts of multiple losses and too many people dying too soon.
Just the everyday conversations that I’m having with folks who are accessing our services are successes. They’re walking through the door, they’re staying engaged in our programs, and it’s a give take relationship.
