Drug Policy Voices: Engaging people who use drugs into debates about UK Drug Policy

Drug Policy Voices: Engaging people who use drugs into debates about UK Drug Policy

Our project

Drug policy is firmly on the global political agenda, over the past decade we have seen changes to cannabis policy worldwide, an increase in drug related deaths, the establishment of drug checking services at festivals and debates about the introduction of safe consumption facilities. Those with personal experience of consuming substances are often left out of the debate.

This project aims to include the voices of a variety of people with experience into debates about drug policy and reform. We want to understand your experiences and integrate your opinions into these debates.

This is a three-year research project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ref: ES/R007225/1), which has received ethical approval from Manchester Metropolitan University (ref: 1006).

On this website, you will find information on the findings of our survey, how to get involved in future research, access to our podcasts and join in the debate. If you want to be the first to know about project updates, then please sign up to our mailing list below.
